It’s that time of year again. Makers everywhere are gathering their yarn, choosing the perfect project, and settling in for weeks of cozy, community-filled crafting. I’m thrilled to share that I’m participating in the 13th Annual Indie Design Gift-A-Long (GAL) on Ravelry!

If you’ve never joined before, the GAL is a celebration of handmade creativity. It’s warm, welcoming, and full of the energy that comes from crafting alongside thousands of makers who love fibres just as much as you do.

What Is the Indie Design Gift-A-Long?

The Indie Design Gift-A-Long is a yearly Knit-Along and Crochet-Along that bring together indie designers, knitters, and crocheters from around the world. It is a multi-week festival centered around yarn, encouragement, and finishing projects you’re excited about.

From November 20 to 26 2025, participating designers (including me) offer discounted pattern bundles. But the sale is just the beginning. The heart of the GAL runs from November 20th through the end of December and includes:

A lively Ravelry group with chats and inspiration
Games, prizes and challenge threads
A large library of knit and crochet patterns from independent designers
A supportive place to craft gifts, whether for loved ones or simply for the joy of making

It’s the perfect motivation during the busiest crafting season of the year.

Explore the Designers:
Browse the long list of indie designers and discover new favourites. Each designer page includes their Gift-A-Long 2025 bundle, where you can see all discounted patterns for the event and use the coupon code giftalong2025 at checkout.
Choose a KAL or CAL Project:
Select any eligible pattern from a participating designer and cast on or chain up.
Enjoy the journey:
Craft at your own pace, make new friends, ask questions, and celebrate your progress.
